Now I have to play catch up.

The weekend was great. I hung some art up down at ERRDAY, saw some friends, drank some of those “drinks that make you friendly”, and accomplished nothing else. It’s cool though, I’ll get it together.

This week, research researh research, the “Smith Hall Project”, move, and I want to shoot some photos. Something different for a second. I just overhauled my main theme and I could use a bit of a break. We’ll see.

Meanwhile, maybe you could enjoy this…

I have just been trying to get this show together. I have to get my photos up in some frames and I am hoping to finish one last piece tonight.

I am finishing my outline for friday tonight too so that I can get some things moved tommorrow.

I am hoping to be moved in Sunday night.

busy busy busy.

So, I brought Spiff home yesterday. He was pretty drugged up at first from being at the vet. He has a lot of energy, but he is just a puppy. I’ve been trying to get him settled and I want to find us a new apartment soon!

I’ve been trying to think of a research topic to take a position on for capstone. I’m pretty sure I want to do something about “lowbrow” art. I’m not sure about the rest. Yikes.

I had my first critique in Adv. Studio yesterday, it went okay. I didn’t get very much to think about though. I suppose I will get enough from my other classes.

I’m looking forward to the SPEMA conference coming up November 7-9th. It is in Pittsburgh, one of my favorite cities (of the few I’ve been to). Rebecca is going and maybe Chris Guinn, so that should be a good time. I’d love to talk to some of the people that work in galleries up there and see if there are any positions available to me once I graduate.

The Bailout bill didn’t pass, Sarah Pailin still sucks.

My main interest over the past few days has been on the Bailout 08′ issue and Sarah Palin.

Bailout 08′ has been the big news, and I am still struggling to find out exactly what is happening and what I think about it.

Sarah Palin is a joke. A HUGE joke. I mean, seriously? This woman could possibly be president. No. No. No. No. NO!

She has no idea what she is talking about, let alone how to run America when is, let’s face it, basically down and out. Geez.

On other news, I critique in the morning. First one. I hope to get some helpful feedback. I am kind of mentally stunned about where my work is going at this moment. I just need to figure out an artist statement that is relevant. I know why I am making my work, but finding the right words for paper is difficult. Especially with trying to get packed up and find a place to move mid-semester, ugh.

I get Spaceman Spiff tomorrow. I am so excited to get that little dog out of the pound and give him a nice home to live in. Yay!

Ok, first blog down.

I love you I wish you the best,

Erin

P.S. check this guy out!
